Freedom

I decided to take the next few days off from work as a birthday present to myself. So far, it's been ok. Sarah had her one year check up this morning and she's healthy but needs to gain weight (oh to have that problem!). The shots went better than expected. She cried while they were giving them to her but settled down quickly.

Here's my gripe for the day: The US Postal Service are a bunch of freakin morons. Aunt Mary sent a package for me and Sarah. We weren't home when they first tried to deliver it, so I went to the post office annex (per the instructions on the little card that was left). When I arrived there, they said that it was being delivered. Ok. When I got home, guess what was in my mailbox? Another freakin card. *sigh* We got a final notice today, so I made some phone calls. The person at the 800 number (given on the card) said that he was going to put a note to not send it back to sender. I called the local office and whoever I talked to there said that it wasn't there but it could be with the person on the route currently. I asked "Is there any way that you can contact the carrier now?" This would have been too easy. To make a long story short, I have to call tomorrow morning before going to the annex to make sure that my package is there. I told the local guy that if it's not there then I will be very angry. "You won't like it when I'm angry."
